The Principality of Liechtenstein lies in the region of the Upper Rhine between the Swiss Canton of St. Gall and the Austrian Federal State of Vorariber. The Reigning Prince is the Head of State. The legal system is based on the Swiss and Austrian law with local adaptations. The national currency is the Swiss Franc, with no foreign Exchange Controls and the official language is German but English is widely spoken.
